The problem we chose to solve is a common problem in our society. We have been planning so much since the day we were assigned the topic and were so motivated and excited to work on.

We have decided to help as many people as we can but then due to shortage of time we all agreed on helping at least 10 people in this period.

So at the start we all were completely focused on collecting donations to provide medicine to 10 people. But due to shortage of time and everyone’s busy schedule we were not able to achieve our goal till now but we are still motivated and enthusiastic to keep working on it and achieve our goal as soon as possible.

There were several challenges that we faced during executing this mega project. One of the major challenges was the ongoing situation with COVID 19 which restricted us to actually go out for donations or local hospitals to collect data and also group members being in different cities which made it difficult for us to go out and meet different companies and NGOs together.

We contacted a few NGOs through calls and online and sent them our project proposal but were not able to get a positive response.

As an outcome of it, we changed our plan by collecting donations from our family and circles and we were kind of successful in that by collecting not a very huge amount as we expected but something. Our target was to help 10–12 people but due to fewer donations now we are planning to help at least 4–5 people. For collecting data we changed the plan by using our networks to look for people who can’t afford and we are able to have 2 perceptions at the moment who can’t afford their medicines and working on more.

Being not able to collect as many donations as we required, we still are working on it to collect as many as we can and we have managed to get prescriptions of 4 patients and as soon as we receive our desire donation we’ll help them.

we worked hard to make our project the best. But we think that there may be some points where we can change our approach to maximize the results:

  • We may form a team from the same city, so that they interact and meet with deserving people and NGOs for funds collection.
  • We may arrange some free medical camps in the areas of Poor People.
  • We may make a database of free medical camps which are arranged by some NGOs, hospitals and Rich People.
  • We may create awareness about such medical camps through digital media & news papers.
  • We may make a long term strategy for donations and a self dependent unit for helping the people.

To propel a project forward multitasking work is required to meet the standard of the project.

This includes the following task to be done more promptly with proper execution.

  • We need to raise more funds by collaboration with different pharmaceutical companies, NGOs, and family circles.
  • To collect data for more deserving patients especially in backward areas to keep their record.
  • Connect with doctors that are working in government hospitals and dispensaries, and seek help to take proper perceptions about medicines availability, amount of dosage and their side effects before giving to deserving patients.
  • Marketing media to facilitate the project well beyond limits .
  • Some Volunteers support us so that our work becomes more efficient.
  • We have made good progress and expect to be finished with the project in approximately given time.

This cannot be carried out by a single person. We are going to divide the task among respective team members and also we start to take in some volunteers so that our work becomes more effective and efficient. The task we are going to perform which are given below:

  • We are going to hunt the deserving patient.
  • We are going to convince NGOs to help us with this project.
  • To contact pharmaceutical companies for free samples and medicine at the lower price for the deserving sufferance.
  • We go to the elite class of the city for the donation.
  • Talk to doctors who work in the government hospital and dispensaries, who can help us to point out the deserving patient.
  • Try to get a doctor to join our team who can help us with his/her expertise in making this project near to success.
  • Create a post on social media like Facebook, Instagram, and Tumblr every week
  • If the social environment becomes safe we can arrange the event like a fundraising gala or make a stall in some mall.

We all are so excited and working together on this problem. Indeed, united we stand.

I am so glad that I have such efficient team members to work with. They all contribute so much not in just working but come up with great ideas and great solutions. InshALLAH we will keep working on this even after the end of our Amal semester.
